🎓 Christoph Burgmer im Gespräch mit Stuart Hall (1932-2014). Der Kulturtheoretiker, Soziologe und Marxist Stuart Hall ist einer der bedeutensten Denker am Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts. Er gilt als Erfinder des Begriffs ”Thacherismus” und als Begründer der ”Cultural Studies” beschäftigte er sich mit Fragen von Kultur, Macht und Identitäten. Stuart Hall hat zwar 17 Ehrendoktortitel, selbst jedoch nie promoviert. Er war 1960 Gründungsmitglied und Herausgeber der New Left Review, von 1969 bis 1978 Direktor des ”Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies” an der Unversität Birmingham und unterrichtete später an der 1969 gegründeten Open Univercity mit Sitz in Milton Keynes nördlich von London, der größten Universität Großbritanniens. Although Stuart Hall has 17 honorary doctorates, he himself never completed a doctorate. He was a founding member and editor of the New Left Review in 1960, director of the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies at the University of Birmingham from 1969 to 1978 and later taught at the Open University, founded in 1969 and based in Milton Keynes north of London, the largest university in the UK. 🎓 Stefan Fuchs (Wissenschaftsjournalist) im Gespräch mit Claus Offe (1940-2025). Claus Offe galt als herausragender Vertreter der undogmatischen Linken. Der Philosoph und Soziologe gehörte zur späten Frankfurter Schule gemeinsam mit Jürgen Habermas. Er vertrat kritische Thesen gegenüber der permanenten Rationalisierung von Arbeit, dem Diktum neoliberaler Profitmaximierung und dem börsengetriebenen Finanzkapitalismus. Dagegen fordert er ein "bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen". Das Gespräch wurde 2008 aufgezeichnet.
/🎓 Stefan Fuchs (Science journalist) in conversation with Claus Off (1940-2025). Claus Offe is regarded as an outstanding representative of the undogmatic left. The philosopher and sociologist belongs to the late Frankfurt School together with Jürgen Habermas. He is critical of the permanent rationalisation of work, the dictum of neoliberal profit maximisation and stock market-driven financial capitalism. In contrast, he calls for an ‘unconditional basic income’. The interview was recorded in 2008.

Helmut Reinalter ist einer der besten Kenner der Geschichte des Freimaurertums sowie der europäischen Ideengeschichte seit der Aufklärung. Schwerpunkt dieses Gespräches ist Geschichte und Gegenwart des Verschwörungsdenkens als antiaufklärerischer Ideologie politischer Machtergreifung.

🎓 Christoph Burgmer im Gespräch mit Cem Özdemir (geb. 1965). Cem Özdemir war der erste Bundestagsabgeordnete mit türkischem Migrationshintergrund. Der Politiker wurde 1965 in Urach geboren, seine Eltern stammen aus Pazar in der Türkei. Er absolvierte eine Erzieherausbildung und ein Sozialpädagogikstudium, trat 1981 den Grünen bei und beantragte mit 18 die deutsche Staatsbürgerschaft. Von 2004-2009 war er Abgeordneter im Europaparlament. In dieser Zeit entstand das Interview. Cem Özdemir spricht über persönliche Erfahrungen der Migration, des Rassismus und von der Türkei als zukünftigen Mitglied der Europäischen Union.

Das Gespräch wurde 2006 aufgezeichnet.Frank Böckelmann ist 1941 in Dresden geboren und war in den 60er Jahren einer der bekanntesten Gesichter der 68' Studentenbewegung. Als Kulturwissenschaftler ist er seit 1979 Herausgeber der Zeitschrift "Tumult. Schriften zur Verkehrswissenschaft." Frank Böckelmann gehört heute zu den geschichtsvergessenen deutschen Intellektuellen, deren Positionen von links-liberal aufklärerisch zu rechtspopulistisch-rassistisch mutiert sind und die offen Stichwortgeber der AFD und Rechtsradikalen wie Björn Höcke sind.🎓/ Stefan Fuchs in conversation with Frank Böckelmann. The interview was recorded in 2006. Frank Böckelmann was born in Dresden in 1941 and was one of the best-known faces of the ‘68 student movement in the 1960s. As a cultural scientist, he has been the editor of the magazine ‘Tumult. Writings on Transport Studies.’ Today, Frank Böckelmann is one of the German intellectuals who have forgotten history, whose positions have mutated from left-liberal, enlightened to right-wing populist and racist and who are now openly cueing the AFD and right-wing radicals such as Björn Höcke.

🎓 Jean Baudrillards ( 1929-2007  Vortrag ist ein seltenes Fundstück. Die Rede wurde 1995 in Karlsruhe (ZKM - Zentrum für Kunst und Medien) auf Deutsch gehalten gehalten. Der 2007 verstorbene französische Poststrukturalist führt darin seine Simulationstheorie aus. Jean Baudrillards Thesen vom ”Ende der Geschichte in der Simulation” haben heute, angesichts der aktuellen Entwicklungen von ”Künstlischer Intelligenz - KI” mehr Aktualität denn je.
/🎓 La conférence de Jean Baudrillard (1929-2007) est une trouvaille rare. Le discours a été prononcé en allemand en 1995 à Karlsruhe (ZKM - Centre pour l'Art et les Médias). Le post-structuraliste français, décédé en 2007, explique sa théorie de la simulation. Les thèses de Jean Baudrillard sur la « fin de l’histoire dans la simulation » sont plus que jamais d’actualité aujourd’hui, compte tenu des développements actuels de « l’intelligence artificielle – IA ».
