🎓 Christoph Burgmer im Gespräch mit dem Ägypter Moustafa Maher.. Moustafa Maher war über Jahrzehnte der bedeutenste Übersetzer deutscher Literatur ins Arabische. Die deutsche Literatur hat in arabischen Ländern eine geringe Präsenz. Das, so meint Maher im Interview, liegt vor allem an den komplizierten Strukturen deutscher Literaturvermittlung. Während die englische und französische Literatur die ersten Ränge einnimmt, wird die Übersetzung und Verbreitung deutscher Literatur durch bürokratische und finanzielle Einschränkungen behindert.
/🎓 Christoph Burgmer in conversation with the Egyptian Moustafa Maher. Moustafa Maher was the most important translator of German literature into Arabic for decades. German literature has a low profile in Arab countries. According to Maher in the interview, this is mainly due to the complicated structures of German literature mediation. While English and French literature occupy the top ranks, the translation and dissemination of German literature is hampered by bureaucratic and financial restrictions. The interview with Maher, who died in 2021, was conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
/🎓 كريستوف بورغمر في حوار مع المصري مصطفى ماهر. كان مصطفى ماهر أهم مترجم للأدب الألماني إلى اللغة العربية لعقود من الزمن. لا يحظى الأدب الألماني باهتمام كبير في البلدان العربية. ووفقًا لما ذكره ماهر في المقابلة، فإن هذا يرجع بشكل أساسي إلى الهياكل المعقدة لوساطة الأدب الألماني. ففي الوقت الذي يحتل فيه الأدب الإنجليزي والفرنسي المراتب الأولى، فإن ترجمة الأدب الألماني ونشره تعيقه القيود البيروقراطية والمالية. أجريت المقابلة مع ماهر، الذي توفي عام 2021، في القاهرة، مصر
