🎓 Christoph Burgmer im Gespräch mit Martin Häusling. Martin Häusling ist seit 2009 Abgeordneter im Europäischen Parlament. In diesem Gespräch erläutert Martin Häusling die Folgen für Menschen und Klima, die die rasant betriebene Abholzung und Vernichtung des Cerrado hat. Der Cerrado ist ein Waldgebiet in Brasilien mit der Größe Deutschlands und Frankreichs zusammen. Es ist das größte Trinkwasserreservoir Brasilien und ist in Teilen nur sehr schwer zugänglich. Das Gespräch entstand 2017 während einer Reise in Dörfer des Cerrado.

Nesta entrevista, Martin Häusling explica as consequências para as pessoas e o clima do rápido desmatamento e destruição do Cerrado. O Cerrado é uma área florestal no Brasil do tamanho da Alemanha e da França juntas. É o maior reservatório de água potável do Brasil e, em algumas partes, é muito difícil de acessar. A entrevista foi realizada em 2017 durante uma viagem a vilarejos no Cerrado.

In this interview, Martin Häusling explains the consequences for people and the climate of the rapid deforestation and destruction of the Cerrado. The Cerrado is a forest area in Brazil the size of Germany and France combined. It is the largest drinking water reservoir in Brazil and is very difficult to access in parts. The interview was conducted in 2017 during a trip to villages in the Cerrado.
