Bulu Imam is one of the most important philosophers of the so-called ‘scheduled tribes’ of India. Bulu Imam was born in 1942, lives in Jharkhand and London, works as an environmental activist and fights for the rights of the Adivasis. Bulu Imam talks about the disappearance of the Adivasi civilisation in India, consumerism in Western societies and the colonisation of India by Hindu nationalists. The interview was recorded in 2004 in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
