Abd al-Fattah as-Sissi, Hosni Mubarak, Anwar as-Sadat oder Gamal Abdel Nasser: Die unheilige Tradition ägyptischer Militärs im Präsidentenamt reicht bis in die Zeit der äygptischen Revolution 1952 zurück. Heute steht Ägypten in allen internationalen Indizees in Bezug auf soziale Entwicklung, Demokratie und bürgerliche Freiheiten neben Nord Korea, Iran und Eritrea am Ende der Länderlisten.

Abd al-Fattah as-Sissi, Hosni Mubarak, Anwar as-Sadat or Gamal Abdel Nasser: the unholy tradition of Egyptian military leaders in the presidency dates back to the Egyptian revolution of 1952. Today, Egypt is at the bottom of all international indices in terms of social development, democracy and civil liberties, alongside North Korea, Iran and Eritrea.
